    Hi
    I am looking at purchasing a 1 Series.

    Does anybody drive this model? What are your thoughts on this car?

    I see on carzone that there are lots of newish cars with 2 owners, is this a bad sign?

    Some of the newish ones could be part of the sterling collection thing BMW had going. They were nearly new UK imports. Could be a UK owner and then possibly a garage? What engine are you looking at?

    Some people dont like them but i think they're and interesting alternative to an Audi A3

    1.6 or 1.8 ( keeping it low for TAX reasons!)

    The 1.6 wont be too quick but it depends what you use it for. If you're looking at newish ones you'd be better off getting a diesel for lower tax. Post 08's would be much cheaper to tax

    Think about the 120d too, very low emissions, low road tax on a newer (post 2007) model.

    I like them, but they are often rather overpriced.

    buy a new 116d 3dr from the UK for about £13,000 stg ex vat ex vrt
