hi people!! 'm thinkig of buying a new set of irons but i am unsure of which ones to get. I am wondering is there any good golf shops around the dublin area that help to fit you to your clubs?? oh and any recommendations for clubs? I'm a 14 handicap that hopes to get lower.

leopardstown have some great fitting there, so i hear.

I will be heading down there december/january to get some new irons, and wedges. they stock muira irons, and many other brands. ill want to have my swing analysed, and then have clubs fine tuned to my game. I cannot tell you what they are like personally, as i havent made the trip yet.

the name of the fitters down there are puregolf, and Ronan Rafferty (those from ulster, or that followed the game in the 80's, early 90's will know who im talking about) wrote a fature about these guys, and said how excellent they are at fine tuning your clubs to suit. but that the difference will really be noticed by the low handicap player, the higher handicap will benefit, but it wont have the same impact.

anyway, check it out and dont be afraid to say no to any seller or fitter,
if your not 100% convinced, then step back and try again.

Pop into Gary in the Golf Creche in the car park of the Dundrum shopping centre, he's authorised fitter for Taylormade & Ping at least, got my gear from him and all a great success.
