Perhaps a stupid question but what do i look out for when buying a microwave?

Are they all the same at this stage?

What sorta price should i expect to pay?

    First time buyer. Cheap

    Experienced user: High wattage

Family man: one that is tamper proof. Kids turn them on with nothing in them! A big no no!

if you are just after a standard microwave i.e one that does not have fancy functions like combi oven etc then anyone will do. Majority of microwaves are the same inside, they all come from 2 or 3 factories in china
