    Ok this guna get confusing,

A mate of mine asked me to look at his drums cos there not working, all hes getting is a static noise when he hits it with a slight constant static in the backround.

He told me he had lost the psu for it and put in a new one, now it says at the back of the control that its a 9vdc supply he put in a 12vac supply and it kinda works, now im an electrician by trade and i dont think thats right at all doesnt make sence, now we found a 9 vdc supply and it dont work full stop.

Ive searched hight and low for technical data on it to no avail, im just wondering does anyone know what supply it is??? and sumting else thats weird if you plug out the high-hat control lead from the stand thingy and touch it off other leads you get the noise of the symbol lead you touch.

Ive no idea bout instruments so an help would be appreciated, and sorry if this thread in the wrong place.

    Cheers

yes and no if you can get a better quality second hand e-kit go for that. good for learning but you will grow out of it quickly not as well built or as good as others out there but it is cheap which is why i bought it. didnt have cash to buy somthing i couldnt play and didnt know if i was going to keep it up. so it was perfect for me. also there is a 3 year repair replace garentee with thomann so poor built quality is less important.
