Finding weird things inside your car

I took the radio out of my Focus the other night to fit an iPod cable to the CD changer port on the back. While I was fishing around inside the hole in the dash, seeing where I could lead the cable out, I found something inside.

A twisted wrist and 2 cut fingers later, I managed to fish out a Specsavers glasses case, complete with a pair of glasses inside.

Now, I know who owned them (my late mother bought the car new, so they must have been hers), but I have no idea how they got in there (basically, they were down in the space behind the air conditioning controls). She never took the radio out, and I can't see a way for something of that size to get in from the glove box, or from the space under the steering wheel.

Anyway, has anyone else found interesting treasure in weird places in their car?

The last 2 cars I've had (both estates), I've found dog leads deep in the bowels of the boot trim.

I had this rattling sound in my car for the last couple of years. Nothing out of place bar this metallic sound from the back. Did a major clean out a few weeks last weekend. Decided to check the spare wheel pressure while i was at it. Under the wheel was a womans ring. It's not cheap tat either either according to people.

Asked everyone just to be sure it wasn't one of my friends or anything. Must get onto the dealer i bought it from when i have time because it was their receptionists car before i bought it...

Found 3 Condoms in a 5 series that came back to us recently - not sure if the guy is married or not!

Also found €10 under the drivers seat when I was fixing the mat - SCORE :-)

I was handing back an enterprise car, they sent a girl to my apartment to collect it because I had split my face and had 14 stitches, including 3 in my eyelid and obviously couldn't see well enough to drive. Anyway I was taking all of my work stuff out of the car and she was helping me when she hands me a box of condoms, that were under the seat, with a big smirk on her face saying 'oh these must be yours'

Bloody things weren't even mine, I only got the car the day before I split myself

I once found a receipt in a car for a family pack of condoms, a tub of Vaseline, and a pack of 12 AA Duracells....:D

My dad bought an mk3 golf second hand from a guy he knew at work. So he brings the car home and we were cleaning it, during which I took out the glove box to find a photo of the previous owner balls naked! He brought it back to him the next day, and his excuse was his girlfriend had taken it while on holidays.Likely story buddy!:pac:

I accidently left my car unlocked (passenger door didn't work with central locking) on Arran Quay one night about five years back in Dublin... Upon getting back to my car where somebody had obviously fled in a hurry (inside light was on as door hadn't been closed tight)... I found that the culprit had inadvertently emptied the contents of his pockets onto the drivers seat (Phone, loose change amounting to about €6-7).

I saw the thread last week on annoying glitches that would make a person not want to buy the same car again.... this particular seat had emptied the content of my trouser pockets into that acward niche between handbrake and driver's seat a million times before, but since having assisted in relieving a robber of his possessions when he was looking to acquire mine, I forgave Blackie and never mentioned the old girl in the aforementioned thread!

As no damage had been done in gaining access to my car, and the assailant had fled... instead of using the phone to trace the opportunistic sh*t and the hassles involved, I found that my SIM card worked a treat and that Blackie had got me a nice Handset Upgrade!! :D
