Just wondering where do they hang out. My gang usually hit the bottles in friends houses early then cruises and onto the queens ...... just wondering where are the best pubs around town now to meet people???

id say where you are going is bang on, also knoxs, not sure after that!

I am single but not on the 'single scene' as its too much of a cattle mart for me.

Boards.ie is where it's at. Hit me with a PM ladies. :D

Joined a couple of dating sites there recently out of desperation (I'm not a disaster on a night out, but I've just had a few frustrating near misses lately) and I can't say they're the best. The pool of people is too small in Ennis for it to be very effective so pubs are where its at.

Problem I find is there are no women in the quiet pubs where it's easier break into a conversation and talk naturally. They're all in the places where it's incredibly loud.

brandons night club is full of single people, but they're all 15 so probably best to steer clear if you're not 15

A few of us single ladies are heading out on sunday night and taking blitz' advice, hitting a few of the quieter pubs!

    Patricks
    Merchants
    Lucas'
    Maybe Moroneys

Going to try and stay away from the busier ones, knoxs etc. At least we will be able to talk to each other without shouting!!!

Just registered and living in Clare for past 6 years. Lucas is best pub in my opinion for meeting other singles. No loud music and no riff raff.

Any advice from anybody on use of this site as Im a newby

yes lucas pub is good some nights....what a shame everyone ends up going to abbey street....was in the merchant for the octoberfest and it was very good....very good draught, food, nice crowd and friendly service all staff in baverian dress!
would like to see that pub catching on as it is a place where you could have a conversation!

My god, shills these days... they put no effort into hiding their agenda.
At least post on other forums about different subjects before bigging up your own place, it makes it slightly less obvious :D

everyone has their first post detective! and some people do like seeing newer places to socialise prosper without having a vested interest. everyone goes to cruises and knoxs...would like to see more late bars at least....okeefes is late on saturday night but much older crowd...brandons and queens younger people not much choice for 30s and 40s either too old or tooo young
