    Hi there,

    I want to install a new aerial for RTE1 & 2, TV3 & TG4
Living on high hill 7 miles north of cork city (outside Blarney)
Have LOS to Mullaghinish & Mushera transmitters (I think!!)
Good strong signal on prtable TV aerials
Would like to use attic aerial if possible
    What aerial should I use?
Where can I get it and for how much?
Will I need a booster to service 3 or 4 TVs?

Don't really know anything about aerials - am very technical - but keep it simple pls !!!!

    Tks - Pad1

This RTE NL document will give you the frequencies and aerial type required.

mullaghanish, is broadcasting both analogue and digital

    For analogue you'd off a group A uhf (tv3 & tg4), and a VHF aerial.(rte 1+2)

For digital you just need a group A antenna (and a mpeg4 tv or set top box)
Digital tv should launch relatively soon, and set top box's will be available soon.

There are some threads about digital reception in this forum

    Tks for the replies

Bit more info - currently have a colourking aeriel - great reception on TV3 & TG4 but crap on Rte 1 & 2

If I put up 2 separate aeriels, UHF A & VHF, do I just join them together on the one coax cable with a y-splitter?
Will they work in the attic?
What VHF aeriel would you recommend?
I want to feed 4 TVs - do I need a booster? - what type?

    Tks a mil
