Off there for 3 days. Has anybody here got the iamsterdam card?
    Is it worth it?

Any tips for not spending a fortune on a few days way? Already have a hotel booked close to the centre, i presume most of the city attractions are within walking distance?

    Thanks

All city center attractions are very much within walking distance. Or, even more, within *biking* distance - this is the Netherlands after all. You might consider hiring a bike and exploring Amsterdam that way. We did it this summer and it was excellent. There is a bike rental at the central train station.

definately agree with the bike rental. And if it feels daunting go to a place called Mikes bike tours and get a tour first. after the tour he will offer to rent you the bike for a fee of just 4 euro a day . well worth looking up the website very nice staff and cheap rentals. Decent bikes too. handy locking systems

Wow - at that price, I second going with Mike's. Normally, bike rentals for tourists can be quite expensive in Amsterdam. I was using the OV-bikes for €2.85 per day but you need to know someone in the Netherlands who has an OV card to avail of those.
