installing an external drive

    I just got a new external CD-Rom drive and the installation was on a floppy disk and i don't have a drive for that. the instructions say to install a new drive in my computer and i haven't a clue how to do that!! any ideas???

    Came with a floppy eh ! Sounds a bit old to me.

    Anyway's you should be able to connect it via USB and there should be firmware on the CD drive already for the installation on your computer, So it should be just Plug & Play.

    If not google the make and model of your new drive for drivers for it.

    can you get them like that??? thought you had to pay??

    ya i did and had a cd in it and it uploaded it and everything but when i went to install the printer it would work!! :S

    ok i did a computer restore and nows its instaled but the disks wont show on the screen or play. please help!!!!:(
