Room heater query

    Hi

Just moved into a house (rented) and while most of the
storage heaters work, the ones in the bedroom don't.
Gonna talk to the owner about fixing them but in the
meantime might get my own heater.

I've forgotten what kind of portable heater is energy
efficient. Would someone enlighten me :)

Only need a bit of heat to take the chill out of the air
now the nights are getting colder.

    Cheers

    Max :)

Wall panel heaters are probably the most energy efficient as you can get them at a power rating as low as 500w. This is compared to an average 2000w that most oil heaters are or 1500w fan heaters. I suppose it depends on the size of the room you are trying to heat though as they may not be as effective in big rooms.

    Argos have a good selection.

I would get a fan heater with a thermostat.

If the source of the heat is electricity, there is no real efficiency difference between types of heater.

Fan heaters have a rapid effect on air temperature at a cost in noise.
