    Hello,

hopefully someone still looks at this thread... I also have a mole which looks quite bad, and it seems to keep growing.
Reading all the things above I went to a GP and asked for a referral, which I actually got. Afterwards it all turned bad - even for a private appointment I would need to wait several weeks, and this would just be a consultation. I'm really worried about this one, so I'd like to get it fixed as soon as possible - would anyone have a good hint, what could I do?

I would even consider having it done in some other country, or paying a bigger amount if I could get it cut out really quickly. So please if you have some ideas, do let me know.

    Thanks,
    k.

This thread will be locked, I suspect, but I shall answer while I can:

I don't see why you are posting here because what you must be doing is phoning your doctor and demanding that your appointment be hurried/advanced. It's that simple.

Go back to your GP and explain your concern. Also, did you ask if they'd do it themselves or just for a referral to a specialist? It's only minor surgery so if your own GP doesn't provide the service there will be another in the area that does.

I've had two suspect moles removed in the last year, both done by my GP.

No point hassling the GP or specialist (dermatoligist) -over a year waiting list for public and several weeks for private.

I would go abroad without hesitation.

    Growing mole is potentially dangerous.
