    Hi all,

Well im heading to oz next week and i need root canal on one of my teeth, my dentist said he can either start the root canal and get it finished in oz or take the the tooth out. Which do people feel is the best solution to this problem. Would a root canal half done cause pain when flying? Im also in thailand for 3 weeks before oz would this have any effect on getting the root canal finished.

    Thanks

Absolutely get the root canal done. No question.
Once the nerve tissue is removed, there should be no further pain.

I second that. You'll only regret the extraction in the long run imho

A molar root canal in Oz with a specialist is 2000-2400$, just so you know.

    Depends on the tooth!

it's all about funds too. if you do go for root canal, get your dentist to give you a script for antibiotics in case it flares up before you get it finished. it shouldn't, but play it safe.

Root canal was too pricey for me (500-600 euro a tooth) I had to get two teeth removed :(

Getting the tooth out wasnt the most pleasent.
