Easy, the Brock Vs Show match where the ring collapsed after a superplex. Incredible. Never seen a WWE crowd go so mad. Brilliant.

Agreed. I wasn't watching wrestling when it happened, but I've watched that clip so many times on YouTube. Epic moment

Funny I was just watching the Smackdown anniversary dvd, its ok, too much Michael Cole and Todd Grisham for my liking but some of the moments are great, nice to see full matches on there too and theres a good mix of pre-WWE stuff on there as well, 2001-2004 on Smackdown was fantastic, when you have matches like Hogan vs Jericho on a weekly tv show which nowadays would be a Wrestlemania match

That is still the one moment where I don't know if it was real or planned. Tazz and Coles reactions on commentary makes me want to think it's real.

It was indeed planned. But you're right, their reactions were great- Chioda too, the way he sold it was fantastic.

It was planned, if you look at the corners of the ring there are little metal flaps that collapse and release the ring when they hit the canvas, still a brilliant moment though, the crowds reaction is great

Brock Lesnar destroying Hogan just before he began his feud with The Rock for the undisputed title.

Edge vs Eddie Guerrero in an awesome ladder match in 2002 or 2003 where both guys got a standing ovation from the whole arena after the match

Rhyno goring Jericho through the old Smackdown set.

the night Austin returned to WWE TV, just before Backlash 2000.

the Rock built it up superbly, then DX going nuts during the night, Vince's selling of his fear was priceless, then the destruction of the DX Express.

all in all, just faultless promos from Rock, HHH and Vince, as well as great drama through the night.

Easy for me the Smackdown taping I was at in Montreal, the WWE's show there since the 1997 screw job, the crowd was nuts

Triple H vs The Rock for WWE Tittle on the very first episode with Comissioner HBK as the special ref.

And just when the Rock was about to land the Elbow & win the match HBK super kicks the Rock & Triple H. Never seen that heel turning coming from HBK.

Benoit/Austin in Canada was epic stuff. Eddie vs Edge ladder match was my favourite Smackdown match ever.

3 things missing from the list IMO

1) Brock Lesnar squashing Zach Gowen with Zach's mother at ringside and he beats him up with his own leg that was class.

2) Jeff Hardy vs The Undertaker, the match that arguebly made Hardy a worthy singles competitor.

3) Kanenites, pretty sure that was on Smackdown when Kane, Hogan and the Rock are preparing for a match.

The Jeff match, if it's the ladder match that you're referring to, actually took place on Raw- but it was a great match indeed.
