DVI to VGA

    does a dvi to vga lead running from a dvi port to a vga monitor actually work, or are they different signals altogether?

    any help appreciated

    You mean something like this

    Card-DVI to VGA Adapter-VGA cable - Monitor

    If so,yes that will work :)

    Yeah it works ok. I work in IT and a lot of our newer machines will have a DVI only so need adaptors to hook them up to VGA monitors
