The Universe will end

Scientific discoveries now say the Universe will end.

It will expand further and grow colder and eventually all structures will return to their molecular level.

How does this effect your belief in a deity.

Doesn't affect it in the slightest. Christian belief is that heaven and earth will pass away and that God will create a new heavens and a new earth.

Nice to see that scientific discoveries are confirming the Bible. Thanks for pointing that out to us.

What bloody difference does it make if the universe ends??
Our planet will be gobbled up by the sun well before then:(.

Also, FYI,the theory you suggested can easily lead to a cyclical eternal universe model that expands and contracts for an eternity.:p
Pretty much fitting the Christian view of recreating the heavens and the earths all over again.

And why do you think such a thing would be of concern for the Christian who believes in the renewal of the cosmos and the joining together of heaven and earth (or the creation of a new heavens and a new earth as it was more succinctly put)?

I suggest that you start by reading up on Paul's contribution to the NT to learn a little more about what the very earliest Christians believed about the redemption and renewal of the cosmos and their bodies through the resurrection of Jesus. You can then apply this newly gained knowledge to this very thread.

The OP had made many posts previous to this one which consisted of stupid arguments and disrespectful attacks on Christianity.

Well generally when new posters stumble onto the Christianity forum with a "...what you think about that" style post it is because they think they have discovered the fatal flaw in religious belief that no one else has thought of

Reinforces it. What we know will come to an end. It has been described as such since Judaism.
“For as the new heavens and the new earth
    that I make
shall remain before me, says the Lord"

As it's all ready been said, Christians expect a renewal of this world after Christ returns, so it makes no difference. However, I don't believe the earth or universe will last until this proposed "heat death" moment before being renewed. I highly doubt we will have to wait millions of years to live in the New Jerusalem.

The universe will, the Earth probably won't.:)
We still don't know anything for certain yet but it's still possible that the universe NEVER ends! WOOT!
I'm still going to die anyways:(
