Self-employed - Form 11 - Medical expenses

    Hello

I have just completed and submitted my self-emplyed tax return on line and received an assessment for 2008 as i had small profits I was not liable for any income Tax only the minimum self-employed contribution of €253.

However I had significant medical expenses in 2007 & 2008 which I submitted with this return for the 2008 tax year, as I had no income tax due these medical expenses had no net effect on my return.

As I feel that I will make a more significant profit in the 2009 tax year and have an income tax liability is it possible to request the revenue to disregard the medical expenses included with my 2008 return and resubmit them with my 2009 return next year. (I was under the impression that you can go back 6 years with Medical Expenses icurred)
