I had the lunch time meal deal from Macaris there today and it was supreme. 8 oz cheeseburger, bottle of Coke and chips - all for a fiver.
I've had food in the canteen. The food's alright but €4.17 for the student special pales in comparison really.

    Anyone got a good deal?

Got a lovely hot dog in the nuBAR today. €3. Not the cheapest by any means, but really nice.

If on a long lunch break, some of those coupons floating around freshers bags and stuff can be good, some places like abra and chick king and stuff offer buy one get one free burgers and meal deals..

have to say ... gourmet burger kitchen (beside Urban Outfitters, Temple Bar) are offering €5 burgers, some of which are like 11 and 12euro normal priced... :)

    Where's the Macari's near campus?

These days I'm loving the Spar hoagie.

€2.99 for a lovely fat sandwich roles filled with meat, salad and sauces. You get a free tea, coffee or hot chocolate with it.

The catch is that it's a set menu you order from.

It's at the corner shops, outside the Ballymun Road entrance to DCU. You'll see a pub, a pharmacy, a Eurospar, a bookies and a Centra. Just follow the corner and the Macari's is there. There's also a Chinese there too.

Forget deals, can anybody near DCU beat Ikea for standard prices? And free refills on €1 drinks?...

Hah, the thought of someone taking a photograph of an Ikea menu.

I take photos of lots of things that people find strange... for this example, it sure is easer than trying to remember or list out the prices!

IKEA food is lovely, but the cost of the bus up and down kinda defeats the point.

Yea, it's not worth the exponentially increased journey time just to get IKEA food for lunch...

Not just swedish tarts, but a selection of swedish tarts. Usually I just take what I can get, I'm not a handsome man :pac:
