    Decoys for wild duck , woodpigeon or wild geese are quite legal and can be used in Ireland. The use of electrical equiptment for calling is not permitted but manual or orally operated calls are.

    Yes - as long as the shooting season is open:

    Canada Geese (Countrywide) 1 September to 15 October

    Canada Geese (Counties Cavan and Leitrim only) and excluding the following townlands: Eonish Island, Rinn and Deramfield (Cavan) and tahe River Shannon (Leitrim) 16 October to 31 January

    Greylag Geese (Countrywide) 1 September to 15 October

    Wildlife (Amendment) Act, 2000

    Section 43 certain use of scarecrows, decoys, birdcalls and calls of wild mammals restricted

    Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act apart from this section, but subject to section 42, a person shall not—

    (c) use a stuffed or artificial decoy in the form of any bird for the purpose of hunting any protected wild birds, other than wood pigeons, wild duck and wild geese,

    is there any spots in cork to shoot geese. would you need a forshore licence
