Three full games I've downloaded are:
    • Fat Princess - online multiplayer strategy(?) game (Enjoyable)
    • WipEout Pure HD - Futuristic Racing game (Brilliant)
    • Warhawk - Online multiplayer war game (Fantastic). Only problem is that realistically you have to download (and pay for, obviously) the expansion packs to make the most of it. Still should only cost around €30 in total.

    As for demos... download everything:D

Forget the three I listed so :p

Would suggest looking into online gaming though, definitely adds a whole new dimension to gaming.

The problem I found with warhawk is that it has been around for so long (It was a launch/close to launch title) that people are so good now newbies like myself don't get a chance. It is a great game, but I got my ass kicked everytime as I had just bought it. I wasn't aware of a any ranking system?

There's usually an element of online play with most psn games, but I get what you mean, so what about the following,

Burnout Paradise, (has split-screen, online and a decent single player mode)
Final Fantasy 7, (ps1 game, but no online and will take you a while to finish)
Pixel Junk Eden/Monsters (real laid back but challenging games, nice with custom music :) )
MegaMan 9 (Hard single player game,)

Online or in single player mode Wipeout HD is a fantastic game. Download the demo of it and see if you like it.

Ratchet & Clank Quest for Booty is supposed to be good. I've played Tools of Destruction, which is great but have not played QFB.

    Shatter: Awesome Arkanoid clone.
    Super Stardust HD: Twin-stick shooter.
WipEout HD: Futuristic racer - scientifically proven to blow your mind.

I would also recommend Flower but I'm not sure how much it would appeal.

There is a ranking system from Recruit up to General. Avoid the servers hosted by players and instead stick to the Green (rookie) and blue servers. Also stick to ground combat to start.

You have to get FF7 at some stage, was playing it myself today. I'm so glad I managed to hold onto my old memory card with the saved games of every mastered materia and also to get the memory card adapter...

So many memories from that game....

stardust is a fantastic game. many the time ive sat down to play a quick 5 min game and suddenly realised its an hour later. the trophies are great too as they add another dimension once you've completed it
same with pixeljunk monsters. even though i thought id never play it, relunctantly bought it and glad i did
