well lads ive an irish setter pure bred non reg going free to a good home. he is 7 yrs old. the problem is i lent him to a friend of mine 2 yrs ago and without me knowing he ran him with a springer and the result is he may or may not set birds. the up side is he has an exceptional nose, has no regard for any type of cover and loves water. he would make a super tracking dog or shooting heavy cover for foxes. i don't have the time or use for him and if he is any use to anyone i'd love to have him working. he also has great temperment.

He said Pure Bred-Non Reg I assume it meant no papers:confused:

What part of the country are you IS?
A mate of mine asked me tonight did I know of a dog available for the season - although at 7 he might be just a tad too old for him.

i'm from tipp. i wouldn't recommend him as a dog on phesant or any other bird for that matter. he will track deer and bark when he has em cornered and he will drive foxes out of any cover but my mate destroyed his setting by running him with his springer.

How are you doing...is the dog still available? I have a 4 y.o Setter who was with another until recently and could do with the company of another.
