    looking to do a H I M next summer in france,
    during school holidays,
    also trying to avoid going to far south as we'll be driving from donegal,
    obviously not bothered about it being a IM branded event, any suggestions? thanks.

    I am in the same boat, a couple of my friends are at me to do the H IM in Barcelona in May, however having only done 4 or 5 sprint tris so far and the friends being much fitter. I would rather try a half IM towards the end of next year after having ran a few sprint and olympic before this.

    Basically I would perfer it as something to build up to next year, rather than be dragged out at the start of the year, when all I will be doing is trying to complete it then trying to achive any significant time

    Would like one abroad though, dont think the wife would be too bothered going watching if it was in Ireland, plus it is nice sweetener for her when I suggest i am going to try for it
