Tech for sending bulk SMS

    Do a few hours for a small family run company that want to send out bulk SMS to all the customers in their database.

    Any ideas how I could go about setting this system up myself? They don't want to hire a third party service provider (don't ask).

    I've seen hardware for this sort of thing advertised on the web. Anyone ever undertaken something like this and able to point me in the right direction?

    The thing is I'm looking to send about 600 texts a week, rather than a month.

    High volume I know.

    Try talking to some of the service provider reps. Either phone it in or go to their shops. They might have a special deal for bulk AND software/hardware to do it for you

    You could try skype or poivy, Texts cost 10c each X 600 is 60.00 a week.
