citylink are celebrating their new non stop bus service from dublin to galway by offering 1€ each way fares. think as long as you book 24 hours in advance its only 1€.
    plus the buses have wifi

It's only from Galway to Dublin isn't it?

It appears that the €1 fares only apply to routes originating in Galway

    Galway to Dublin Airport

    Galway to Shannon Airport

    Galway to Cork Airport

    Galway to Clifden

These are all advertised on the Citylink Homepage

I have tried it out and it is definitely possible to book return journeys such as Galway to Dublin and Dublin to Galway for €2

You may need to play around with different coach times to get the €2 return fare.

It is also possible to book singles originating in Dublin to Galway.

Based on this I presume that the fares work either direction on the routes.

    bus eireann:mad: dirty, smelly, unfriendly...
i travel with them only when i have no choice but citylink is far better option.

Just booked Dublin to Galway there and back for €2. I think you have to book two Singles rather than a Return. When I put in a Return, it never came up with €2, usually €10.

    Thanks to the OP

What car can get you that far on that little petrol? I want one! :P

Another thing that I have noticed with this deal is that you should not book kids tickets. Book them as adults.
If you book kids fares they come up as normal price, while adults can get the €1 fares.

I often use their Cork to Limerick service - it is far superior to Bus Eireann.

A 7.00pm departure from Cork would be nice.

But I always find Citylink better value and better comfort.
