So I was messing around, registering PS3 accounts from diferent countries, seeing the different stuff available.

If you create a new user and put your country as Hong Kong, you will be able to download the Wipeout HD demo(which isn't available in Europe or US).

The PSN store for Hong Kong is in English which makes navigation easy. There's a whole bunch of demos not available over here available.

Wipeout HD looks pretty awesome too.

    What's that about?
I had a look around the net and found no mention of Wipeout HD getting a retail release.

    What's Smyth's up to?

    I found this:
Wipeout HD and it's expansion will be released on Blu-ray on 16 October in the UK.

It was mentioned on Gamespot at least, but at the time it wasn't certain if it was going to be a UK only release. I guess not.

Yeah it was announced about 3 weeks ago about the retail release. Its a savage game with a great online community if you dont have it GET IT.

Still can't find any online store are selling the retail version.

I know it's not out yet but they normally take orders weeks or months in advance.

Apologies for digging out old thread, but I guess there's still no retail version of this game yet?

I'll try signing up with HK and see if I can download the demo.

PS: Just noticed that the SMYTHS link above says good availability on various shops.. are they referring to some other (older) version?

  • Site Banned Posts: 5,676 ✭✭✭jayteecork

Looks like the real deal. See this: http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/14/wipeout-hd-fury-expansion-bundled-for-blu-ray-in-europe/

May be it hasn't hit main media yet as it hasn't come out in the US may be? I am now itching to get this - I have tried this game on PSP and I am really really bad at it..! :o

Screw the demo, just get the full game. You need the fury add on as well...the eliminator game mode is awesome, definitely my favourite.

Just noticed Amazon.com is selling PSN game codes, and WipeOut HD is just $19.99, approximately €14.

    http://www.amazon.com/WipEout-Online-Game-Code-Playstation-3/dp/B002N2YLDA/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1261045331&sr=1-7

Does anyone know if I can buy this game using Irish credit card details from Amazon.COM and then use the code here to download the game? Does this work for any games?
