    He said the bumper is your first line of defence when somebody stops suddenly in front of you.

    Surely your first line of defence should be the sufficient distance you've left between you and the car in front, with the second line of defence being your brakes?

    on the Mazda frontal impact where it looks like there is no damage at all, they still clock up 700 odd dollars repair cost :eek:

    Is the side impact test still valid when they crashed the same car without repair. Check out the undercarriage on impact of the first and the undercarriage rolling up to the side impact.
