Was in with Gamestop yesterday and they told me it's still being released on the Nov 10th. I also read that the game is now finalised and should be definetly released as told.

i believe play.com post before the release date to make sure it arrives on or before the release date. not sure about ordering from the uk and waiting an extra few days for the game. will probably just preorder from gamestop. more than likely they will release it at 12 midnight. have taken the following day off work anyway :D:eek:

www.Gamesnash.ie are irish and will have it to you on release day even if they have to deliver it themselves :D (barring a dissastor)

Outside of that you are taking a risk most will land on release day, but if release day is a friday you run the risk of having to wait untill monday or tuesday the to get the game. ( it has happened a few times to me) as the 10th is a tuesday im sure you have a good chance of getting it in or around the 10th.

i use a lot www.videogamesplus.ca good canadian site cheap and reliable

Gamesnash.ie have a VERY good reputation for delivering for release day, sometimes even the day before. They also have their own interactive forum here.

Don't bother pre-ordering. There will be plenty of copies on release. Also if you pre-order prepare to pay a premium. I bet somewhere like Tescos will have to cheaper on release day.

Think they will too, Tesco UK are doing a good deal on MW2 but its for UK residents only. Hopefully they will pass it on here. I'm holing out for Tesco again for a release deal like they did with GTA 4 and Fallout 3 and recently FIFA 10.

Just looking at it now and its gone up to £45, a month ago they were doing a pre order deal and it was about £37. Feck that anyway. I tried ordering back than but it wouldn't accept an Irish address for the deal.

Well Game isn't too bad, once you get the reward card you can build up your points and eventually get a big discount on a later game.

That said I'd not buy a game on the release date unless I really really wanted it.

But Game charge over the odds anyway, even with the reward card you end up paying the same as somewhere like Xtravision.

Agreed, I pre-ordered Dan Brown's new book on Amazon, got it the day it was released. Also if you pre-order something and the price drops after you order it, you pay the lesser amount and they refund you the difference.

Can I just advise you not to go to gamesnash.ie for COD:MW2..

They are charging a massive €64.99 for it

I'm sure you can find it cheaper elsewhere

MW2 is going to be more expensive anyway as Activision have raised the price themselves.

Also, Gamesnash will get the game delivered to you on release day and often, the day before, so you are paying for service.
