Best of luck with the opening, I'm away this weekend but I'll make sure to venture in

I'll probably pop in Saturday. Hope it's a nice place. The market could do with a decent spot for a drink.

    Anything new is always welcome.
Lot of the places are either deserted or for 90 year olds or you can hear the soundsystem from space (UNG! UNG! UNG! UNG! BLEEEEEAAAAARRRRP! UNG! UNG! UNG! UNG!).
So unless you want to be bored stiff, attacked or deafened there's nothing much out there.
Not that you can drink, unless you can afford to pay the equivalent of the current Irish state deficit for a Taxi.
And if you smoke, you're gonna spend the night freezing outside anyway and you can't even take your pint with you. So when you come back your seat is gone, along with your pint, your jacket and your friends who got bored waiting for you and decided to go elsewhere.
Also, should you get hungry, you run the risk of poisining yourself with the "food" on offer through various fast food outlets.
So, you'll end up broke, frozen, alone and sick.
Why are we doing this again?

I thought it was a pretty nice place. Or should I say the smoking area because when I'm at a pub I'm never actually in the pub.

How did the opening go on Sat. night? Anyone at it?

It was fairly mobbed. Bar service was fast all the same. One of the band left an amp plugged in and tripped the power plunging the pub into darkness for 5 minutes but other than that it was good.

Last Saturday they had a pig on a spit. He was very tasty.
