Just wondering if anyone knew how much, approx, does an electrician cost to wire a whole house, nothing lavish, central lighting mostly and the likes. The house is 1777m sq2.

What is the round about cost and how long does this take? :o

You need to give a lot more information for anyone to be able to answer that question.

Also I would think that your house is not
    1777m sq2
    :D

The answers to these would help:

Is your house a new build or is this a rewire??

Is it a timber frame house, block...etc??

    How many bedrooms?

Do you want it wired for an alarm?

How many TV points?? Satellite or cable TV?? Wired for plasma/LCD ???

What type of heating, oil/gas boiler, electric, passive, heat pump??

How many heating zones, stats?? - They save money so they are important!

Any special requirements like solar panels???

    Outside lights??

Will anyone be living in the house while the work is going on??

    How many storeys is it??

Do you require tempoary power for construction?

What type of 2nd fix materials are you looking for (sockets, switches etc.) cheap and chearful or something a bit more flashy??

Does the house have a garage??

Will you supply the light fittings?? - Some people spend lots on these, so they can "distort" a quote.
