Hi folks,

the Elite T&F thread stickied in the sticky killer seems to be closed so we probably need somewhere to post irish elite news.

For starters what's the story with the great south run - apparently Fagan has confirmed that he'lll do it:

I hope it's true though hard to see based on his horrible time with injury of late. Maybe Euro XC is back on the menu for him..?

Maybe he is right. I don't think anyone here knows how fit or healthy he is.

True, but he has now pulled up 3 times with a left achilles injury, twice in recent months. surely it cant be right in the timeframe since the great north run

Women's race was Cullen from the gun
1. Cullen
2. Britton
3. Mageean

Mark Christie and Kenneally were neck and neck for 4 and a half laps. Christie won by about 10/15 metres
