    My girlfriends car is going through its NCT today but Im in work so cant bring it for her. What does she needs to bring/do just so i know im not forgetting anything

    Make sure car is reasonably clean

    Make sure boot is empty.

    bring logbook and fee and the letter they sent

    Arrive about 15mins before test.

    The look at letter, take the keys and the fee and have a glance at logbook

    Thanks buddy. I didnt think of emptying the boot she has about 2 dozen shoes in it.. Typical woman!!

    Also take off any wheel covers if they have them

    It's on the letter, but check the seatbelts are free, especially the rear ones.

    Well she brought it up it failed. I figured it would so i put off changing a blown bulb till we found out what else was wrong. Turns out that bulb was the ONLY thing it failed on:o

    That's not so bad as it is only a visual failure afaik rather than a full retest.

    It was a headlight though so they still charg for the retest to check they're balanced
