Is there anywhere in Ireland to buy this clothing?

Arnotts used to carry a small amount of the range. Dunno if they still do. Worth a shot though. I always buy online in small quantities from them and never have any problems.

Ya was thinking about buying online direct from them but have heard storys of import taxes etc.

has anyone used ebay for them?

Not much there from irish sellers, like this jumper alright and its good value. http://cgi.ebay.ie/American-Eagle-Sweater-Mens-Large-NEW_W0QQitemZ150378304958QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMen_s_Clothes?hash=item23033ed5be&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

One problem with buying online is sizing, would you reckon AE clothing is standard size or what...my past experience suggests it would be. but i havn't bought in over a year, someone who hast bought more recently may be able to advise me on this

I think you're thinking of Old Navy.

Love AE clothes, stock up every time I get to NY! I bought from the website before and didnt get caught for customs, and I spent quite a bit!

For me their sizing is standard although I find with their jeans I need to go a size smaller! Oh and their fall clearance sale started today!

Lol no what I mean is, do mean if you spend 150$ including the $50 for delivery, so it's really $100 on clothes, or do you mean $150 on clthes + $50 delivery , so your really paying $200?

    Sorry I'm so roundabout :o

I wouldn't count on that USD150 'limit', I personally know of 5 AE orders below that amount which had Customs charges. Customs are clamping down a lot more recently.

How much approx do customs charge if they catch you?

Duty (12%) on value of the goods, then Vat (21.5%) on (the new value of the goods (ie with Duty) + the shipping cost).

There will also be an admin charge with Vat which will be around €15.

in terms of sizes i find AE quite large, like most american clothes really, the give them that bit extra over there!

Careful, I bought abercrombie online a while back and got stung by customs, it's really a matter of luck. You're charged an extra 21% of the value of your goods, and then a bit more I think just for the craic. That, along with shipping almost came to the price of the clothes themselves!!

I always get caught for customs with abercrombie but haven't ever got caught with AE!

AE use USPS which is a lot less likely to be stung for import then the likes of UPS, DHL, fedex etc.

i got caught by customs for a $200 binge on ae.com. wasnt a fun bill, bear in mind though that you pay for p&p and may also have to pay for fedex, this happened to me everytime i oredered from there, no matter what the amount i spent
