A few people told me that digitalb (Albania) was the best for the coverage of premiership and english commentry. But when i looked at the Sat guide digitalb was showing f-all of the premier games. Can anyone help?

I think 13E as Sky Italia and some Cyfra+ along with Nova Greece.

Would getting the card for them be expensive?

Cyfra+ no but Sky Italia and Nova will be very expensive. Talking about €1,000 at lest. Also Art sports on 13E who have Premiership and are not that expensive. Al Jazeera sports have good champions league coverage and is inexpensive compared to others.

I have a Digitalb card and so far I am not that impressed with it. They seemingly advertised 240 games for this season but the bulk of what they have shown thus far has just been Sky and ESPN games (which will total 138) No saturday 3pm games neither. They have shown some sunday 3pm games which are not on Sky/ESPN but thats been it.

They will not show 240 at the rate they are going. They have Champions league and La liga along with Serie A and the Bundesliga. Overall it sounds like a good package and it is if you dont have Sky but they lied about their Premiership coverage in my opinion and will fall far short of 240 games.

theres a lot of information being given thats well off the mark. From someone that knows.............

Nova have f'/k all matches now
Digitalb show quite a few but no 3pm games on sat. This was because cards were too easily avail in ireland and england so sky / premier league put an end to that. Same applies for nova

Best for premiership coverage is showtime however at present you need 3.5 - 4m dish to receive.

So in my opinion its got to be canal digital nordic who show over 200 games a year or alternatively sky italia. Sky italia card is around 1800 euro and canal nordic is expenisve also.

PS redout...........Art lost the rights 2 years ago to showtime arabia so not sure what you are talking about here.

I dont know what are talking about brother. Art broadcast prem matches through an agreement with Showtime. Also Nova Greece show a tonne of Prem also and these cards are not cheap! Maybe you are confusing with Nova Czech. Sounds like your the ill informed one.

EDIT: The OP asked what satellite was best and I still stand by my choice of 13E over your 1W which is quite limited.

Showtime Magreb is the only channel that shows these through art and no english commentary

Nova grecce show a tonne of games??? Really, Wow I dont see any premiership game that they are showing in the next two weeks unless you can prove me wrong. I am not confusing it with nova czech who co-incidentally are showing quite a few games.

Yes and they are shown on Art!!!!!!!!!!!! I just turned on Nova Sports Greece just now and watched an ad advertising Serie A, Ligue 1, Premiership next years world cup and this seasons champions league then followed by another ad advertising Villa v Chelsea for saturday oct 17 once the international break is over according to them also. I have just proved you wrong. I have the bloody channel. Lets wait and see if I am correct.

EDIT: There is also a re-run of sundays Chelsea v Liverpool which they had live on Nov sports 2 at the moment if your interesred.

I think 1w is by far the best for live EPL. Nova Sports Cz is the best by far for the money. The buildup is in Czech but the match is English. All of sky/espn offerings plus one 3pm sat game. Then you also have Canal+ Nordic. 3 live 3pm on Saturday (the one on C+1 is in Norwegian but that match is in English on Nova Cz) and all sky/espn's matches plus towards the end of the season when the big4's rescheduled matches are on Tuesday they have all of these too.
And if that wasn't enough, Big Ron Atkinson is a pundit on Canal Sport 1 on Saturday at 3. You can't beat that? Can you?

Can I throw in 39e - Bulsatcom package? Bulgarian commentary but at least you get all the SKY/ESPN games plus 2 x Saturday 3pm kick offs, tuesday EPL games and Wednesday EPL games. TV+ on the same satellite gives you the La Liga games and TV7 gives you the Italian. Champions league games as well. Throw in Ring BG and you get League Cup games (FA Cup as well I think), Russian league games and of course Bulgarian league games. Not too bad a package eh??! For the price it can't be beaten!

I'll just add this and say no more. If your only willing to pay about €250 then Digitalb on 16E as said to you already is the best bet. If you are willing to spend about €1,000 then Sky Italia on 13E is the best choice. Overall I will argue with any person on these boards who disputes that 13E is not the satellite which offers the best selection of Premiership coverage. It has four premiership packages available (Cyfra+, Sky Italia, Nova and Art) ranging from cheap to expensive. 19E also has alot of offerings but some of them only show a handful of games. I think people are nuts to spend €1,000 on a package but if you drop your own domestic sky/upc then Sky Italia is better than our Sky in my opinion. It has far more football coverage and its HD channels are free unlike ours which cost €15 pm. It doesnt have to be €1,000 if you make the right contacts which can be cheaper. If your willing to go without saturday 3pm coverage then Digitalb it is.

Yes and if you have a bulgarian friend 12 months sub is around 90e! Only downside is the commentry is in Bulgarian, But like ive stated in other posts, Five live delayed through a laptop running radio delay is a great way round it.

I have: Art sub (60e), Al JAzeera sub (50e) Cyfra+ HD sub (140e) Total price including the HD games comes to 250e for 12 months offical subscriptions (Cyfra+ has English HD films as well). I will possibly get a Bulgarian sub next season along with cyfra+ HD. The Al JAzeera sub is a fantastic package with near enough 100% English commentry on all LA liga, Seria A, Champs league, championship and SPL. (Oh and the Ukraine/England match Live in English)

Incidentally for those who are interested, Diema is well better on 39e (picture & audio) than 16e like Nova Sport is superb on 23e compared to all the other sat's it broadcasts on.

JSC sports is a fantastic little package, Sky Italia though is the King of all Kings - truely amazing for the Footy fan.

And you have to be as rich as a king to be able to afford it! Yes 39 east seems the better picture, but 39 east for me is a little to low in the sky, my limit is 36 east which i can get but nothing east than that. My neighbour has 39 east (The dish is pointing down and looks weird), but he's lucky as his dish is looking over a field and not a house!

All depends who you know. I know a guy who can do it for about €800 first year then about €650 on renewals for the Mondo & Calcio. This is far lower than the £1,000+ prices advertised on the internet.

That's a good price for sure!

However, I've read that you have to be careful that you don't end up with a Multiroom card (similar to Sky here), which could get cut off by Sky Italia. I guess there's no way to be sure though.

I love watching Sky Italia on a Saturday afternoon, flicking between 3-4 3pm matches ,all with English commentary and then watching the highlights of the days matches at 4.50.
It sure as hell beats watching 4 or 5 ex footballers describing the matches to you as they watch the matches in a studio.
Plus the presenters are dead sexy too.
