CAN 02 LOCKED 3.1 FIRMWARE BE UNLOCKED

    Hi Guys

    Im looking at buying s second hand 02 locked phone what firmware should it have for it to be unlocked easily.

    3.1 on a 3GS can not currently be unlocked. Anything before that should be fine. I am not 100%, but I believe that 3.1 on a 3G CAN be downgraded.

    3.1 can only be jailbroken using a Mac at the moment. It cannot be unlocked.

    Read the DevTemBlog about

    If you updated through iTunes, you're are stuck until an unlock is released. The only way downgrade if you kept ECID file on file. (Could be wrong though).

    Yeah i read about that somewhere (forgot where lol)

    about 2 weeks or so ago, a friendof mine got a pay as you go iphone but she upgraded it to 3.1 and wanted me to jailbreak it. I said there was no solution atm. So ill try to call her as soon as i find the article
