    i have watched a few of the matches from egypt,i think the standard of the middle men is just plain awful,so many cards given for nothing tackles however i think that fifa have given them the directive to to be stricter but it sure as hell does not bode well for the WC in south africa next year,i can see most matches finnishing with less than 22 players on the pitch and players missing the latter stages for nothing bookings thou i believe yellow cards will be voided for the quarter finals onwards but some will still miss the final. i hope i wrong but ................:(

    I think it's strange how little media coverage this is getting. The English press barely covered England's games. Very little on the BBC site either.

    The English squad is nowhere near what it could be. SO I think the media don't care about a team of players not many know of.
    Rodwell, wilshire, Wellbeck, delfouneso, etc could all be there.

    Spain for example have Bojan and Asenjo.

    i agree, thankfully eurosport covering it, two of the fav's went out last night, spain and paraguay
