    PC:
    Dell studio Hybrid 140g

    250GB internal hard drive

    Software:

    XBMC

Ok so im looking to a usb tv tuner to my system, iv had a look through some of the cards on hauppage website but dont know what one i need.

At present at home we have NTL digital, is there any way of recording NTL digital through a TV tuner, i imagine the anologe channels would be ok, but im looking for the better quaility videos to be honest.

If anyone has any idea of what would suit me best please let me know.

    Thanks

I have the same system, a Dell Studio Hybrid, but I mostly run Windows Media Center (sic) and last week I upgraded to Windows 7. The interface is beautiful and the native DivX/Xvid support is most welcome.

I use a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB2 analogue tuner with NTL Analogue. The systems detects it and sets it up no problem but some of the channels (C4, Discovery) are not tuned in properly, so I'm working on that. Other than that the TV is fine, but I'm looking to upgrade to digital, but without having a load of STBs involved.

The Holy Grail is DTT in Ireland with a reasonable amount of channels, but I'm not holding my breath. I recently experienced Media Center with DTT in Spain and the results were spectacular, amazing quality picute and sound, and about 30 channels for free! Others have gone the digital satellite route with DVB-S tuners and Freesat receivers, but again, I haven't taken the plunge yet.
