    anyone playing cod4 multiplayer with macs?just wondered if you have problems trying to leave the game as i have to physically power off my imac to get back again

    Problems in Snow Leopard

    COD4 is a great game especially in Multiplayer. Unfortunately after upgrading the OS to Snow Leopard the sound and graphics started to break up after about 10 minutes in multiplayer mode. Having browsed through the Apple forums I can see its a problem not confined to myself, something about a memory leakage. I enjoy playing the game on line so I have reverted my OS back to 10.5.4 (Leopard) until Aspyr issue a patch. At the moment I think they are denying a problem exists. I feel they will need to address it though as I am sure any new Mac's sold will come with Snow Leopard pre-installed, making the game in Multiplayer mode obsolete!! 5****'s for the game 1* for not keeping up with Apples new OS.

    Hi,

    I sometimes play CoD4 on my MacBook Pro. I have been experiencing the sound break up recently too. I had put it down to poor internet connection but I have also upgraded to Snow Leopard so that might be it. Anyway, when I'm done I usually just quit (CMD + Q) and I have no problems leaving the game. Hope that helps.

    thanks for that will try it! also whats the best beginner multiplayer server to try as was on one yesterday and was told to leave!! also keep getting "only for low ping servers"? any help appreciated

    That low ping only message is because you have a higher than average ping. If your connected by wireless thats probably whats causing it, try getting a wired connection instead. Could also be the connection is getting used by someone else on the network or by an application on your pc like a downloading program. Could just be your isp though.

    hi all wonder can any help,have adium 1.3.6 tried installing xblaze but keeps saying thats its not compatible with adium,all new to this,so any help appreciated,on imac 3.o6mhz 8ram
