If hand position is too far out in front in setup will it shallow out the swing plane (make it more like a baseball swing)?.

Last night I tried having my hands closer to my zipper (more under the chin)at address :P and found accuracy 'seemed' a lot better.

Having the hands directly below my chin (Correct position?) I presume leads to a more upright swing plane which can help get rid of an over the top move?
