Lots of us in the same boat. I handed in my proof of registration to local SWO over 3 weeks ago, and still no sign of the 500 yet. Likewise I have a stack of books to buy and student levy to pay off. I really hope it comes through this week.

This won't be paid down here in Cork until next month. I called in this morning to ask and they said that they're still processing applications. She couldn't say when in November it'll be paid but just that it should be sometime in November. I've got books to buy! :(

I have just been told my application hasn't even been looked at yet and will not be for a least a week or even two, anyone on disability should recieve an email soon informing them the same.

have you tried putting pressure on them? send them a copy of the book list you need, along with a price list on the book's. You could also ask a lecturer to write a small letter stating that these book's are mandatory for your success in the course. Dont post it in, go in and hand it to them, let them read it while your there and pray they have compassion.

My sister got the first instalment of her grant on Monday so she's letting me borrow money off her for books until my grant comes through and I can repay her. :)
