stupid lightroom newbie question

    just got lightroom 2.5 for the first time. trying to save one picture but when i choose export, it tries to export everything in the folder, not just the one image i'm working on. what stupid mistake am i making?

    Well, everything is possible.
    Just insure, that you have not selected more pictures, but only the one you want to export. Possibly in the Library module. Then right click on the picture and go "Export..." and set the required settings.

    Yeah, I reckon you must have multiple images selected. Go to the library module, click on the thumbnail view button thingy in the bottom left. Any thumbnails light grey in colour are selected.

    yep, i had the whole folder selected but in windows, once you click on one photo in the library view, it deselects the other pictures, but on my mac it seems one has to go and choose 'Select none' from the edit menu

    That explains a lot :) You should inform us that you are not using a Personal Computer, but a fruit machine :p
    I am glad you are happy user now. LR changed my attitude to photography. A lot.

    using both platforms actually, mainly cos i have photoshop on my pc and don't want to have to pay for a whole new copy for the mac, so lightroom will do for it and any extra touch ups will have to wait till i'm back on the pc
