They could be one of the many spiders the search engines send around to scan your site. Or they could be real people looking at your site. :)

Maybe add a big "Contact Us For a Quote" button on that page?

Set up a Google Analytics account as well - that will show the locations of visitors within a certain radius. If nothing else, you'll see how many are international (i.e. not target customers) and those who have clicked on by accident (very low time on site and so on).

    🤪

Jamesy08-there is a HUGE difference between "hits" and actual visitors so as Sabre0001 suggested add Google Analythics to all pages on the site. This will quickly show you exactly what terms people use to find your site, how long they stay on it, where they are from etc..

Yes of course you could sell other items via the site. However before going that route see if your 80 are actual real visitors because they may well not be. If they are you could offer products connected with your sites theme or more importantly what search terms visitors use to find your site. Rather than actually buying product consider affiliate marketing whereby you make a % of any sales your direct to a supplier.

Also Jamsey, keep in mind 80 hits isn't really a lot of traffic (one of my sites had 145,992 hits yesterday). If all the hits bounce - ie. see your page and leave then their value is zero. However if those 80 hits were all buy one visitor who is dead set on buying a top of the range swing set but you don't server his area (say he's in the UK) you could offer a partner company in the UKs sets for sale.

You can monetarise sites with affiliate programs fairly easily, however if i were you i'd focus on building the traffic first and adding more value. Offer instructions for free etc - Like this guy sells TV installation equipment has a blog that shows you how to install a sky satellite disk - i think something like that would be great on your site!

This is great advice, not just from the point of view that [I believe] Google ranks information sites higher than pure sales site, but people love to feel like they're getting something for nothing. Information is king these days. So many sites are purely trying to hawk their products (no disrespect to those who have pure sales sites) that when there's an option (competitor) keeping the visitors on your site is very important. Adding the kind of value pointed out above does absolutely no harm and gives visitors a reason to hang around a bit longer, and even come back again and again.

If you dont know basic web design it might be worth getting your developer to insert the code, but after that its simple as Gmail.

Hits has been defined by a court case in London over a company advertising hits on there website was found misleading.

A hit is a request from a webpage to a server, for people who don't know a webpage can be made of many different pages and each image is an individual request to a server(hit). One webpage could count up to 100 hits whereas page views and unique visitors is a far more accurate way of deciphering the success of your website.

Google Analytics and Statcounter are good free counters that you can install and will give you a more accurate picture.

the amount of info from google analytics is scary. Imagine what the police/army can do if this is the info you can get for free. great tool and may prove a wake up call as to where your traffic is coming from.
