DDR2 or DDR3 RAM

    Hey guys,could someone help me please??I nedd to know,what memory is better - DDR2,or DDR3?I think in the Laptop.thanks a lot

    In short it is technically "better", but if you had to ask i sincerely doubt you will notice any difference between DDR2 and DDR3. If there's any kind of price difference i would go with the cheaper.

    well at least check first which type yer laptop takes.

    ddr3 is pretty new; is there that many laptops using ddr3 bar some performance lappys?

    there's very little difference. DDR3 is technically faster and supports higher bandwidth's but DDR2 has lower latency so it evens out for home users. AFAIK only really enterprise platforms can avail of DDR3's full feature set.

    If this is for an upgrade though, Kaimera's right. Most laptops only support DDR2, and a small subset at that. So make sure to check your manufacturers manual as to what you can stick inside it!
