If any of you have an o2 doda, you will know that when you connect it constantly opens your browser on there broanband/start page almost forcing you to have a new homepage.

you can remove this by going to c:\program files\o2\o2 broadband usb modem\o2 broadband\ open the file runinfo.ini and remove change

[usermanual]
type=A-html

FirstUrl=http://www.o2.ie/broadbandstart

to

[usermanual]
type=A-html

FirstUrl=

job done

I think I'm having the same problem as reggaeman. The constantly opening homepage has fled but in it's sted the 'O2 Broadband' folder opens every 30secs or so and if I ignore it takes over my screen so that I can't.

Any ideas on how to stop this, it's driving me spare!

Hi. I solved that problem with the folder. Where I deleted the web address in the folder I put FirstUrl=(http://www.google.com/) instead. So now it just opens with Google. And thats what I wanted. You can use any home page this way. Leave out the brackets ( )

Yeah I actually got mine sorted also. Where I deleted the start up page web address (after First URL =, I think) I just filled in a / and it stopped both the webpage and the folder opening repeatedly.

Three midband force their web page on opening too.

To fix this disconnect from the internet.
On the three dashboard (software interface) click "Settings" and then "advanced settings"

Click "connections"
You should see "3connect" , highlight it by clicking it once
Click "properties"
Click "applications"
Highlight where it says "internet browser" and click "properties" again
You will see whats written in the "default URL"

just change it to google.com or whatever you want your homepage to be and then keep clicking "ok" until you are back to the settings page.

Reconnect and it will open the website you have written in.

I am using the E1750 modem, I think this will work with all 3modems though.
Good luck.
