Asking for a Number - Question for the Guys

Guys, I was hoping you could shed some light on something for me.
I was out at a bar. Got chatted up at the bar by this really interesting and hot guy. We really clicked. Lots of flirting, touching etc but nothing overtly sexual. As I was getting up to leave he asked could he have my phone number so I obliged.

Now I've since found out through a mutual (not close) friend that he is married, or at least got married a couple of years ago.

So why ask for my number? Is he just being an wee shyte and hoping to cheat on his wife with a one night stand or something? I mean, why do men ask girls for their phone numbers in bars? Surely there's only one intention there?

Sounds like weeshytism to me anyway.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Sounds like you're unsure if he's still married, could he be seperated? I wouldn't jump the gun til you're sure, but of course there's blokes(and girls!) out there who would cheat.

    Wee shyte  !!!

I dunno really, is it an ego thing for men to ask for a woman's phone number? Like, if I get this bird's phone number I've still got it and can still pull the birds?
