One parent+jobseeker allowance

Hi all, I'm getting jobseeker allowance. In May I had a baby and the people at social welfare told me to ask for one parent, because I'm a single mother. I would like to know if I apply for one parent, I will get both (one parent+jobseeker allowance)or just the one parent? Thanks

You will only get one of the two.

However, you can earn up to 146 euro per week without it affecting OPF whereas all income is assessed for JSA.

I didn't find any indication how long last the one parent, do you know about it?

I would assume you are eligible for it until your child is 18
