    Hi,

Anyone interested in doing some MT during the weekends ?
Bridgestone gym offers them 35e/h if you're alone. If there's 2 ppl the price goes down to 25e/h.

Assume the price would go down with 4 students.

Don't have time during the week but be happy doing 2hrs on Sat and Sun.
    35 is bit pricey tho.

    Anyone interested PM me.

    Cheers.

not that I wanna stick up for the nord soide gym, but e35 aint expensive for a priavte lesson mate, you getting **** loads of extra benefits from it that you dont get in a normal class...

I know lads charging e75 an hour and getting it no sweat and their ****e at whats their at and fitness instructors charging the same for standing beside a machine txtign on their phone as you walk along at 2mph.

If you getting a good lot from it and good coaching then its worth every penny

    also khannies a cock:)

I was thinking of privates with Paddy to improve fighting skills, but I felt bad charging him.

I do agree with you paddyc but 25 is as far as I can go and what I was expecting it to be.

I did a little bit of mt in bridgestone gym and I can imagine the difference between normal classes (which I used to attend) and private one.

Still eventhough it's only for fun and a little bit of excercising I would consider doing it on the weekends. So my offer still stands if anyone interested in joining PM me.

    Thanks

I Have been doing private classes for a while in bridgestone and there well worth it.

of course there is a difference between public and private classes doing one on one classes with your trainer is worth way more, The focus and attention is all on you.

If your serious about your martial arts, its a lifestyle, your life and 2 or 3hr out of your 40hr pay check each week is nothing.

I also drive 135km to get to Dublin so put another 30e for petrol on top of it.
If your not going to put the time and effort into your training then stop,
    your waisting your time

Well were not exactly playing ping pong, I do full contact sparing all the time and if your not prepaired you will get hurt.

With hard fight sports like Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing and MMA its all or nothing and it should be for your own saftey

but your original message was nothing to do with fighter safety, you were discussing whether or not he should spend the "2-3 hrs of his 40hr paycheck", you then added your distance and travel costs, and staated that if he wasnt serious about his training, to pack it in, nothing to do with safety, all about cost.

The OP has stated that he simply cant afford the cost (regardless of it being good value0, and is looking to decrease it somewhat by having other people train as well.

so I'm in agreement with with sul02, your statement was a bit harsh...no, make that just plain harsh

Ah but not everybody's interested in competing. While bridgestone is a gym that's focused on getting people ready for the ring, there are plenty of people there who just enjoy hitting pads. That's fair enough too.

Certainly if you're gonna compete, then it becomes a lifestyle. The other guy's getting into the ring fit and strong. You'd better be sure you are. :)

Omri if your anywhere near north you should try dublin thai boxin. I just did a private class there this afternoon and thought it was savage. the trainer is sound and patient and makes you understand something before he moves on to something else. He only charges 25e/h aswell. Good luck with your trainin anyway.

Who does the privates in Bridgestone?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,485 ✭✭✭✭Khannie

Jono Bracken, Niall Molloy and I think Ray Lakes might do some too. I think that's it. It's hard to tell if you're not there when they're on. Paul can verify.

Yea, The two lads Niall Molloy and Jono Bracken are doing the private classes at present. They are coaching at different nights also down at the gym. Both lads are still competing on the Pro circuit. Both have extensively trained and fought in Thailand and both have fought in Lumpini Stadium in Bangkok, the Mecca for Muay Thai in Thailand.

This is the experience you are paying for when you get a private class. As they have put a lot of time, money and effort into what they have gathered in Muay Thai experience so you pay for what you get at the end of the day.

    Regards,
    Paul.
