Hi all I'm looking for a little advice on buying a laptop, I would prefer a windows 7 os system but my main concern is will laptop prices increase significently when windows 7 becomes available?

There are alot of sales at the moment as retailers are trying to get rid of the old stock, should i take advantage of the low prices or wait for windows 7?

    your opinions would be helpful..........

As far as i know, any laptop bought now will receive a free upgrade to windows 7 when it comes out.

Dell outlet laptops don't seem to included in that. You should double check that before you buy. Unless it was critical I'd wait for Windows 7.

All laptops bought now, which come with anything other than xp or Vista home Basic installed, come with a Free upgrade to Windows 7 ;)

Please Note IE Dell Outlet Systems are not eligible for the Windows ® 7 upgrade at this present time.

Freedom cots about $15 on average. They dont ship the DVDs free. But still, considerably cheaper than having to buy an upgrade later. Windows 7 is definitely worth it. Vista is a fine OS but win7 is a bit like Vista 2.5
