    Hi,

If one has an idea for an app:
anyone recommend a developer/company to develop it? (basic app, should be simple enough)
If Apple apprvoe it and add it to the App Store how are is the revenue split- do you get everything or Apple get a % of each sale?

    Cheers,
    Patrick.

Try the Developer section on Apps.ie: http://www.apps.ie/

Most developers charge a dev fee and then submit to the store under the client's name. That way, you get the 70% cut, Apple get 30%.

Of course, some devs might be interested in a revenue sharing agreement. It depends on the app really.

You will have a very hard time finding a developer who is willing to take on a small project unless you have a lot of money to spend. A spent a few months developing apps, I had no shortage of people wanting me to work on small projects, I still get calls from recruiters wondering if I am available, or if not if I know someone who is available.

Go to iphonedevsdk.com, have a look in the Developers Wanted/Available forum and try your luck. If you have a killer idea (and it really would need to be a killer idea - the app store is full of developers who think they have killer ideas) you might be able to find a good developer who is interested in a revenue sharing deal.

Best of luck with your project, whatever it is.
