Have been travelling for last three and half years in asia, australia and nz.
Returned home last month and can't get a job!!!

I have never been to college in Ireland, went travelling straight after my leaving cert so am wondering am i entitled to the grant?

    I'm 25.
Or would I be entitled to mature age student?!

I worked for one and half years after my leaving.

If I don't find a job am i entitled to the dol?

    Any help appreciated!

Hi eeme, I've been overseas for the last four years also, working most of the time but (obv) not paying taxes in Ireland. Therefore I don't qualify for Job Seekers Benefit, but should (hopefully) qualify for Job Seekers Allowance. Since you're now 25 (and not under) it should only be your own means which is tested, i.e. any savings / investments you have, and not your parents' income.

Can't tell you about mature student study, though this sounds like it might be a good idea for you.

    Good luck!
