Need some help in improving sound system

Hi All, I am currently using a 5.1 surround sound system on my pc as my main source of sound for music and films. I would like to upgrade the system to a better quality one. I am just starting out on my information trail at present and I am looking for some ideas. Thanks

The final sound quality of any system is determined almost entirely by the speakers, so if you want to improve the sound quality from your system, you should be looking at replacing the speakers first. Determine your budget and go listen to speakers in your price range.
