Auto mount private folder

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10. One night months ago I was confused about which box I was ssh-ed into and screwed up passwords (same account name - different passwords) so I ran passwd remotely on my main machine. Since then I have a Private directory which doesn't automount anymore. I use that dir a lot as I've got some very confidential data to do with a school.

When I need to access it I can mount the dir manually using:
    sudo mount -t ecryptfs /home/me/.Private /home/me/Private

Selecting passphrase and entering the passphrase.

I haven't found how to reset my keyring with to auto-mount it without wiping the Private dir tho. Anyone here know how?
